Original pastel on sanded paper, painted en plein air at the Blandy Experimental Farm Plein Air Festival. Standing next to the observation platform at the wetlands gives you this lovely vista across the cattails and up the path to the Pavilion. I love the textural quality of the cattails in the fall. All of the colors are subtle and inviting. This pastel joins the others from the plein air event, in my Christmas 2023 Virginia Plein Air and Studio Sale.
